Jaz Dalorian Alone on Stage

Jaz Dalorian is the well known frontman from Tankus The Hednge but on 3rd January 2020 he performed on the first night of his very first solo tour.

Turning up i could see from the off he was self admittedly nervous, in part because it was the first night of his very first solo tour, but i think also that so soon after new year people are still usually recovering from the holidays, so dont usually come out for shows which is why normally bands have a month where there is little no touring in most cases.

But he did not need to worry on both accounts, the show was a great success and a good starter for his tour, and it was really well attended, i don't know numbers but there was a great crowd in there, half i think becuse of the association that Jaz has with Tankus, and the other just wanting a good night out.

And that is exactly what they got from Jaz, Two sets of great music, in a very laid back style in comparison to the Tankus shows, and thats the thing people have to remember when they go and see him, this is not a Tankus show, the only things in common is Jaz playing keys and the outfits.

This is a whole new side to his music, he did play some Tankus music, but it had been changed for a solo performance, and it was done really really well, the only thing better than Jaz on the night was his puppy trying to out shine him during the first song of the second set, but even that played well into the nights music, it was nice to see him smiling alot, but not in a showman way but in a proper grin happy way.

He has a great view on the world and is very good and scripting that into his songs, and it comes with great into's into the songs,  i hope he does not mind me saying but he is not the most vocally acrobatic singer and does not try to go to places he should not go, but the range he has is the perfect fit for his style, a bit of gravel, smooth soul,  

I think on the night he was a little tired, but that did not show on the night, and when i spoke to him his reply was, nobody else is going to do it, and thats so true, at this level for 95% of what they do is done by themselves, and its all takes time and effort.

The only down side to the night and its not a performance thing was that i only knew this was on a few hours before hand, so i dont know if it was directional campaign to push the tour. 

I have seen Tankus a few times now, and it was good to see a whole new side to Jaz, and a different style of music, and and i really hope that the tour goes well, its something he should be pushing to do more off, And as i said half of the fans will know of Jaz through Tankus, but the more the tour goes on i think he will increase his own fan base and be known in his own right.
