K&F Filter review

Afternoon all, hope you are all doing diddly well.
From the off i need to make clear that K&F Concept have not sponsored this post, they DID send me the filter to test, but have not been told what i can and can not say regarding the review.

I have had this filter for a little while and for a few weeks every time i wanted to get out and shoot the rains came, so wasn't going to happen, and then it turns out my dogs huge water bowl wanted my camera and my lens more than i did, it looked  like the Mary Rose being lifted from the ocean, and was properly trashed, But fortunately i have a new camera set up, and as it happens i didn't even think about fitting size when i bought the new lens but it fitted the filter.

Anyways what did i think of the filter.
The filter is the K&F Concept Slim Fader nano-x nd filter and i was using the 67mm version.

When it arrived i was actually surprised with the way it was packaged, it came in a box, in a case, the design of the packaging is really cool, however the size for the size of the filter could have been smaller, but i am just guessing that the case is a standard case for most of their filters, which would save money. Inside the case is a round piece of i think foam, and the filter sits on that when it closes, and have found that once the case closes the filter does not move around to much.

The case is opened by pushing a small button type thing, and its pretty secure but have to wonder how well that has been tested in regards to how many times you could open and close it with out it breaking or snapping.

The filter itself feels  well built, it has a nice weight to it, not like a tank built but a feels nice in the hand build,
For somebody like me who lets me honest is not the most technical person in the world this filter works really well, once its screwed in, there is clear markings on the top that tells you how how much or how little you have of the filter being used when you turn it. and you can not get it passed the minimum or maximum markings, so you cant just as i have in the past sit there and just keep turning.
When you rotate the filter it is really smooth there is no grinding or at the other end of the scale its not really loose. Again i dont know if in time the more you use if that would change.
Like i said i am not technical in any way, but have found that the affect it gives is really nice, now the one thing i have seen is that if your using it on max, and then go to lower the amount of filter your using it does not take a lot for it to blast through the light, i dont know if this the way the filter works, but other filters i have used i found that the graduation from near darkness to light was more gradual, where as with this one its more of a sudden step.

The only other thing that i noticed when i had the Nikon was that when i put the lens cap on, there was a small gap between the cap and edge of the filter, i did check that it was the original cap i had used with the lens and it was, but with the Sony lens i have not found that same gap its a good snug fit, but it is something to be aware of, i had wondered if maybe i had misshaped the lens cap or something but as the gap was the same all the way round it would be unlikely that would have been the cause, In reality its not a massive deal but it if you for some reason had your camera out with the filter and lens cap on and you manage to get water or something inside you may not notice it straight away.
Other than those little things i really like the filter, its easy to use for people like me and does a dam good job,

And lastly if anybody is looking to buy one of these K&F have given me a discount code thingy, so if you use the code you will get 10% of the price of the filter you can go to  https://amzn.to/2BClQTo and use the code bolgiani

Thanks for reading and see you all soon.
Oh on a side note, if your out shooting and you get engrossed make sure you keep an eye on your surroundings as i didnt and nearly came a cropper, so please be careful out there.
